I have two layouts to share with you today. That's right TWO! I have been crazy prolific in scrapping lately, it's been awesome! Anyways the first one that I have to share with you is my entry to this month's Round Robin at scrapbook.com. Here is the layout I lifted: My Angel, My Papa by Cheena and here is my page titled 'Pure Love':
I used the August Scraps of Darkness Envy Kit. I am not really sure I am good with the final product. I don't think I like it very much. Regardless here are some closeups.
The next page I have to share with you is titled 'Strike a Pose' and is my take on August's sketch challenge at Scraps of Darkness. Of course I used the Envy kit for this as well.
When I had everything lined up and ready to glue I realized the page was missing a little something. So I pulled out my brand new faber castell pastel pencils and colored in the patterns on the paper. It took a while but I really love how it turned out. I love those pencils, I only have 4 colors because they came in the mixed media sets I got for my birthday, after this page I am seriously considering investing in them if money ever stops being so tight.
Ok lately I have become obsessed with Dusty Attic. How did it take me so long to figure out its awesomeness?
The last pic I have to show you is of the kaisercraft posies. I am having a fabulous time using these. They are so crazy versatile.
That's it for me today. Let's hope this productivity continues for a while. It sucks for the cleanliness of my scrap room but it's great for the utilization of my supplies and the happiness of my being!!

Kiss Me Forever
So I am really excited about today. It is reveal day over at Little Shop of Sketches and guess what!! The sketch this time around is one made be me!! It is my first sketch ever and I am so incredibly honored that the ladies liked it and used it as our inspiration for this week. *Happy dance*
BTW it took me FOREVER to figure out photoshop (I have an old version, 7 I think) but once I got the hang of it I was hooked and now I think I am addicted. Be sure to check out what the ladies did with this on LSS's blog, the pages are so fantastic! Here is my take titled 'Kiss Me Forever'.
I used the August Scraps of Darkness Envy kit. I so love this kit. I am happy to report that even though I have gone through a chunk of it I am still inspired like crazy by this kit and I have so many more ideas for pages. Usually I burn out after 4 or 5 pages and while this is the third page I have shared with you I actually have two more done and still more ideas for more! So that should tell you right there how amazing this kit is. Here are some closeups:
Isn't green the best color ever?
Remember if you play along with the sketch to upload your page to our ning site!!

Sunset
That's right!! TWO posts in TWO days!!! Go me!!! Ok Now that the celebration is over let me share with you my page.
It is titled 'Sunset' and it features pics my boyfriend and I took of each other while we were down in the keys for our vacation. I am scrapping my pages differently lately. Usually I try to go chronologically, but the other day I scrapped one pic from our vacay and now it seems that I can't stop. I don't mind because honestly those pictures are the best that I have and therefore the most inspiring so I am just going to go with it.
This page was done for Challenge 25 at Punky Scraps. This challenge was a sketch challenge and I decided to honor the super beautiful but simple sketch by creating a simple page. Let me tell you how hard that was for me. I kept wanting to add things, so finally I just put the page where I couldn't reach it until the urge went away =D. So there we go. Only one challenge left and seven days to do it in.
I also created this page with my Scraps of Darkness Envy kit. Well obviously not the paper as it is just white cardstock, but the embellishments (which used to be white but I misted them black) and the paint that I used around the border.
So do you think I pulled off the simple look? Or does it just look unfinished?

Summer: My Favorite Days
Woo Hoo!! I am finally playing along at Punky Scraps again!! It has been a great couple of days. I had an amazing birthday, got really cool scrappy and non scrappy stuff, did not have to work, and I was able to scrap! I am hoping to stop being so lazy and complete ALL the challenges this month at Punky Scraps (I have 7 days more or less, I need to get on it). Here is my take on Challenge 24 Vintage Summer.
The picture is not the best but as there is a hurricane off the coast of Florida I am thinking this is as good as it is gonna get. I titled it 'Summer: My Favorite Days'. I made this using the Scraps of Darkness August Kit which is seriously hands down my favorite kit so far. I really think I am just going to use every single scrap of it. One of the things I love so much about getting kits is that it comes with some items I would probably never think to buy, let alone use. Such as the Webster Page's journaling cards. Yet they worked wonderfully with the design I had in mine. So basically it gets me out of my comfort zone and opens me up to new products and companies which can be detrimental to my wallet but very helpful to my pages.
On an unrelated note, look what my cousin made me for my birthday:
SUNFLOWER CUPCAKES!!! She knows I love cupcakes and sunflowers are my favorite flower so she combined the two!! Aren't they just fabulous??

Twenty Years and Counting
So last night I did something very unexpected. I actually scrapped after work! Not only is this very out of the ordinary my shift last night was uber crazy which usually makes me just plop down on the couch and not move for the slightest thing. I'm actually really happy about this, maybe I can start scrapping more!!
I have finally done another page for my parent's scrapbook (I really really need to finish it). I used Sketchy Thursday's 8.11 Sketch. The page is titled 'Twenty Years and counting'.
The picture is of my parents posing at a beach either in northern California or Oregon. I am not quite sure which (I wasn't with them). They have been married for twenty years, well actually it's 21 now but at the time of the picture it was 20 and I believe that is what matters. Plus 21 years and counting didn't sound as cool to me ;D. I used the Crate Paper Portrait collection. I was just amazed how fast this page came together. I just need to work of the peek holes a bit more I think. There is a lot less on it than I have been putting on my pages lately but I just love it. Sometimes less is more, right?
Thanks for looking!!

Baby Faces
So it's time for another sketch at Little Shop of Sketches!! This week is another from the fabulous Anne Pennington. Here is my take
I used the July Scraps of Darkness kit. That gorgeous baby is my niece Shea. I altered the color of the photos to fit with the page. The background was created with a prima mask and shimmerz mists.
I colored this dusty attic frame with smooch accent ink.
I doodled around the page with stickles.
These are some metal accents that came with the kit. I actually had two small ones instead of the small one and the big one and when I went to go take a picture I realized I was missing one of them. I tried so hard to find it but I couldn't (it's probably a sign that I should clean my scrap area). I think it turned out to be a good thing though because I really love how it turned out with the big one. I also did my string of pearls frame for two of the pictures. It's my new favorite way to frame pictures =)
I hope to see you ladies play along over at the ning site for Little Shop of Sketches!!
